FR. KELLY'S MONTH'S MIND MASS
Please note that there will be a Months Mind Mass for the late Fr. Dick Kelly, on Saturday 12th July 6pm in Kilbehenny. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Kelly's brother, Fr. Michael Kelly. All welcome to attend.
DSP MATTERS
We are very sorry in Kilbehenny to report that Catherine Keane has left the DSP team here in the community hall. Catherine was a very respected and valued member of our DSP team and we are truly sorry to see her go. Catherine was the person who always kept the interior of our community hall in pristine condition and by her efforts, the hall was always spick and span and ready to receive any visitors. Indeed, the cleanliness of our hall was very often commented on by visitors. We wish Catherine the very best of luck going forward.
GAA
The future of Galtee Gaels looks bright as the U10s team put on a fantastic display of skill and determination in their recent encounter against Hospital Herbertstown. This match was played on home ground with the young players impressing spectators with their enthusiasm and their confidence on the field. A special word of thanks goes to Andrew, Tom and Kevin who have been training the team every Tuesday evening and guiding them during matches.
Excitement is building in the Galtee Gaels community as they get ready to cheer on three members of their club taking part in the Tailteann Cup Final in Croke Park. A very proud moment for the club to see Tommy and Bobby Childs and Sean Clancy lining out at county level. The very best of luck to Tommy, Bobby and Sean as they embark on the big stage. A great reward for their hard work, dedication and a love for the game. The whole community is behind ye lads.
Galtee Gaels Kellogg's Cul Camp has been going on all week in O'Mahony Park, Kilbehenny. Special thanks to Leah Quane and her team of coaches. Fun for all taking part.
U13s BIG DAY OUT
Galtee Gaels U13s had the honour of playing during the half time interval for the recent Limerick .v. Wexford Tailteann Cup QF in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday 15th June. Both Gaels and Askeaton Ballysteen Kilcornan Desmonds provided the half time entertainment. There was a great turnout on the day with over 20 players. They played for 10 minutes and they put on a great display. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience and proudly represented the club. This is a day that the boys will never forget and will look back fondly on in years to come. Well done lads.
