KILBEHENNY NATIONAL SCHOOL
On Friday evening 17th October, there will be an official opening of the Astro Turf in Kilbehenny National School. The school will be open from 5pm and the official opening will take place at 6pm. All the school community is cordially invited to come along for this joyous occasion.
UPCOMING EVENTS
On Sunday 19th October the Model Mania Show will take place in the Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown. Start time is 10.00am.The proceeds from this show will be donated to Kilbehenny National School. Your support would be most appreciated. Grateful thanks to Kevin and Sinead O'Brien for the running of this event.
On Sunday week 23rd October there will be a tractor run in Kilbehenny and all proceeds from this event is also for Kilbehenny National School. We will all remember the great turnout last year for this event, so, hopefully,. this year will be just as good if not better. More details next week.
On Sunday 2nd November there will be a Coffee Morning in Kilbehenny Community Centre and this is a fundraiser for the replacement of our Defibrillator. This event will commence at 10.30am. The Defibrillator is a necessary piece of equipment in Kilbehenny village in the event of anyone needing it. If you're in need of a cuppa, do call into the hall where there will be an array of goodies to greet you. Your support would be much appreciated for this very worthy cause.
On Saturday 29th November we will be having our annual Christmas Meal in the Community Centre. There will be a 4 course meal, glass of wine and music by the very popular Brian McDermott and all for only €35 and this also includes 3 strips of raffle tickets for very valuable prizes. BINGO
Bingo continues every Sunday night in the community centre 8pm. Doors open 7.30pm.
DANCING
All your dancing needs will be met on Friday night 17th October in Kilbehenny Community Centre when Michael Sexton, the popular Clare singer and musician will take to the stage. Dancing 9pm. Teas served. Your support would be very much appreciated. Get those dancing shoes on.
Solar Panels
Recently there were 18 panels installed by EGR on a south facing roof at the rear of the hall. It’s a 8kW system, and we’re hoping to avoid 2tons of CO2 per year. The project was supported by the Community Centre investment fund
