KILBEHENNY COMM. CENTRE 50th CELEBRATIONS
Thank you to Fr. John Littleton who celebrated a very meaningful Mass in Kilbehenny Community Centre on Saturday 12th September at 6pm. The occasion being one of the events to celebrate the hall's 50th anniversary. Following on from the Mass, Fr. John blessed the beautiful mural and also the time capsule. After that it was time for burgers and wine before Michael Cahill took to the stage and played some lovely music to whet the appetites of the many dancers.
A sincere thank you to the many volunteers who worked long and hard both on Friday evening preparing the hall and on Saturday evening cooking and serving in an effort to make sure that everything ran very smoothly. It was nostalgia at its best. Here's to the next 50 years.
SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy to the Nolan family, formerly of Kildorrery and Skeheenarinky on the recent death of Christy. Christy was laid to rest in his native Kildorrery. May Christy's gentle soul rest in perfect peace in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

GALTEE GAELS CLUB NA nOG
Congratulations to the Under 14 team who produced a fantastic performance in Rathkeale when they played against Cappa/Rathkeale and won the County semi-final. A brilliant achievement by the players and management.
Also congratulations to the Under 16 girls who had a fantastic win in their County Final last Saturday . A great achievement for the team, their coaches and everyone involved.
The Minor team are in their County final on Tuesday 15th September, wishing all players and management the very best of luck.
Upcoming fixtures include an Under 10 Go Games on 19th September in Kilteely and the Under 12 Winter Football League gets under=way on 20th September with Balltylanders providing the opposition in Round 1.On Satu8rday 26th September the boys and girls of the underage clubs will come together for a Gala Day which promises to be a great day for all the family while also raising funds towards the development of the new multipurpose room at the club grounds.
MITCHELSTOWN LIBRARY
Cork County Council in association with Mitchelstown Library present "Down Memory Lane" which will be an hour or so of guaranteed singalong and fun. The date is Friday 18th September 6.30pm.
DANCING
For your dancing pleasure, Muriel O'Connor and Fran Curry will be playing in Kilbehenny Community Centre on Friday 18th September. Dancing 9pm. Admission €10. Teas and treats served. Come along and join in the fun.
