MASS & CELEBRATION IN KILBEHENNY COMMUNITY CENTRE

Please note that on Saturday 12th September the 6pm Mass will be celebrated in Kilbehenny Community Centre.  The celebrant will be Fr. John Littleton.  There will be a BBQ and music by Michael Cahill following the Mass.  This is one of the events to mark the 50th anniversary of our community hall.  Everybody welcome.

PILGRIMAGE TO LOUGH DERG

Pilgrimage to Lough Derg is leaving on Monday 14th September.  There will be 3pm Mass in Knock with overnight stay in Ballyshannon.  Retreat on Lough Derg on Tuesday September 15th from 10am to 4pm.  The approximate cost is €265 but will depend on the number of people travelling.  Further information can be had from from Bridget on 0863594571 on or before Wednesday 9th September.  The bus will leave Kildorrery at 8.45am  via Mitchelstown at 9am via Ballylanders, Knocklong, Hospital with a stop in Gort for breakfast.

KILBEHENNY VILLAGE PLAN

The Kilbehenny village plan gets underway in October with shrub and bulb planting, tidying, weeding being done.  As part of this plan there will be 3 memory picnic tables which can be purchased in memory of a loved one or you have a choice to purchase a memory plaque to a loved one which can be placed on one of the picnic tables at a cost of €100 per plaque.

BACK TO SCHOOL

All pupils are back to school by now and wishing you well for the academic year ahead.  Congratulations to all boys and girls who received their Leaving Cert results and wishing you well for the future, whichever path you choose.

GALTEE GAELS

Well done to Galtee Gaels who put on a wonderful night of entertainment last Saturday night up in Galtee Escape.  By all accounts it was a cracker of a night.  Roll on the next one.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CHILD

There is an upcoming programme titled  Understanding your Child  taking place in Mitchelstown Primary Care Centre.  This is a free 10 week programme and is designed to help parents better understand their child's emotions, behaviour and communication, while building confidence in responding to their child's needs.  It offers a supportive and welcoming group environment where parents can learn and share experiences with others.  This programme is suitable for parents of young children up to age 8.More information can be had from the facilitators on 025 45300.
