SYMPATHIES

Sincere sympathy to the Landers family, Carhue, Kilbehenny on the recent death of their mother Bridget Landers in her 106th year.  Bridget, indeed, was a legend having reared a wonderful family in tough times along with her beloved husband Paddy.  Bridget's remains were interred in Kilbehenny cemetery on Sunday where she joins Paddy.   May Bridget's gentle soul rest in perfect peace in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

Sincere sympathy to Noreen and the Ryan family, Corrin View, Fermoy on the recent death of Christy Ryan.  Christy's remains were interred in Castlehyde cemetery.   May Christy's gentle soul rest in perfect peace in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

Sincere sympathy to the Hanrahan family, Glenacunna, Ballyporeen on the recent death of their mother Alice Hanrahan.   May Alice's gentle soul rest in perfect peace in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

COFFEE MORNING

There will be a coffee morning on Sunday 9th August in Kilbehenny Community Centre in memory of the late Ellen O'Mahony.  Proceeds are going to Marymount Hospice and the Mercy Hospital, Cork.  Time is 12 o'clock.    Do come along and support this very worthy cause in memory of a great lady Ellen and also enjoy a cuppa.

RETREAT IN LOUGH DERG

There will be a one day retreat in Lough Derg on September 15th.  Bus leaving on September 14th.   Names please to Fan Condon or Fr. Joe Tynan.

ICA TOUR

GAA

Galtee Gaels under 14 football team maintained their position at the top of the Under 14 Div 4 table after a win over Dromin Athlacca - Banogue at O'Mahony Park on 29th July.

Also on 29th July the Under 11 footballers travelled to SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh to take part in the Munster GAA Football Activity day organised by the Cork GAA Games Development team,.   It was a fantastic day for all involved with our players taking on teams from Cork, Kerry and Waterford in a series of enjoyable and competitive games.
